When you’re hauling serious weight, the Dexstar Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel gives you solid confidence. This 15" diameter x 6" wide steel wheel handles up to 2,860 lbs of capacity with a 0 offset and a 4.27" pilot diameter. It’s a sturdy, DOT-compliant design that holds its shape under load without flexing or warping.
Corrosion won’t sneak up on this one. Dexstar uses a 2-step finishing process with an e-coat primer under a black powder coat finish for long-lasting rust resistance. It keeps the wheel looking sharp and protected through seasons of wet roads or storage outdoors.
Matching patterns and hardware is easy here. The wheel uses a common 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern and accepts standard 1/2"-20 wheel bolts. It’s built for tapered-style lug nuts like # AM26NR, so you get a secure seat and even clamping every time you torque it down.
This wheel is all about reliability. The heavy steel build resists impact and provides consistent support for frequent towing jobs and long hauls alike. You get a straightforward, no-nonsense rim that performs day in and day out without worrying about weak spots or flimsy materials.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Dexstar 15 inch by six inch black spoke steel trailer wheel, with a six on five and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this wheel is a nice sturdy steel construction. As we mentioned, it's an eight spoke design wheel. It does offer excellent corrosion resistance, 'cause they use a two step finishing process on the wheel, which will include first an eco primer and then a black powder coat finish over that. This is a high quality wheel.
Does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications. Now one thing, if you notice this wheel does not come with a center cap. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separate on our website. You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole right here, 'cause when you install your center cap, it goes through this hole. Diameter on this pilot hole is 4.27 inches.
This wheel is made in the USA. A few measurements I wanna give you on this wheel. The diameter which will be measured inside to inside. So if we go inside to inside, there's your 15 inch diameter. The width will be the same way.
It's measured inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat. There's your six inch width, and the bolt pattern on this wheel is a six on five and a half inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel, that's an even number of lugs. Like in this case, six. It's pretty easy because if you notice the lug holes, they are directly across from each other.
So when you go to measure, it's pretty easy. You just pick any hole, let's say this one, and you'll measure from the center of this hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. It'll measure five and a half inches on this wheel. So that's a six lug five and a half inch bolt pattern. Does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20, and the weight capacity on this wheel is 2,860 pounds. But that's gonna do it for the review on this Dexstar 15 inch by six inch black spoke steel trailer wheel at the six on five and a half inch bolt pattern.

Packaging could have been better. One package contained two wheels with insufficient material between them to prevent contact and the paint is scratched on the edges. Keeping them as it’s “acceptable” but not great.

I am happy with the rims, but one box was tapped shut and the cardboard inside supporting the rims was loose. One of the rims has a small chip in the edge. the other 3 rims are great, and I am looking forward to installing them on the trailer.

Exact match for Dexstar spare rim which came from factory under Grand Design 5th wheel. Wanted another to have two spares for "just in case" while traveling over the road.

So far so good, havent had any flats or blowouts so rim is there for back-up
